REQUIRED MANDATORY DOCUMENTS & PROCEDURES
SHORT TERM PRESS VISA

You do not need to book an appointment in advance to apply for a press visa. You can come to our office as a walk-in (no appointment required) between 9 am and 2 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Before you arrive, your company must apply for your accreditation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Türkiye. Once your company’s application is approved, you can visit our office to apply for your Press Visa.

The entire process takes up to 10 working days, during which we will keep your passport. Please note: There is no fast-track service available. Applicants must bring all the documents listed below to their appointment. Failure to present these documents will delay the visa application process.

Document Requirements for SHORT TERM PRESS VISA:
  • Invitation Letter from Türkiye: From the relevant workplace.
  • Reference Letter from Employer in the United Kingdom: This letter must clearly state your assignment details, including your job title, the duration of your employment (months/years), your location (city), and your start date.
  • Passport (original and copy): If you are not a British citizen, you must bring your UK residence permit card (minimum validity of 6 months) or proof of UK residence from the following website: gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status.
  • Valid BRP for Non-British Applicants: Must have a minimum validity of 6 months. If you have an ordinary passport, bring both your original passport and BRP card, along with photocopies. Additionally, print out your Settlement Status Reference from the gov.uk website showing sufficient validity.
  • Original and Copy of UK Press Card.
  • 1 Biometric Photograph: UK passport size (maximum 6 months old).
  • Visa Application Form: Must be fully completed and signed.
  • Undertaking Form: Must be fully completed and signed.
The Short Term Press Visa fee is GBP 288 (including Travel Insurance) for British citizens. We accept payment via cash or bank transfer.
LONG TERM PRESS VISA

You do not need to book an appointment in advance to apply for a press visa. You can visit our office as a walk-in (no appointment required) between 9 am and 2 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). The entire process takes more than 6 weeks, and we will not retain your passport during this period.

Document Requirements for LONG TERM PRESS VISA:
  • Invitation Letter from Türkiye: From the relevant workplace.
  • Reference Letter from Employer in the United Kingdom: This letter must clearly state your assignment details, including your job title, the duration of your employment (months/years), your location (city), and your start date.
  • Passport (original and copy): If you are not a British citizen, you must bring your UK residence permit card.

Additional Steps for Long Press Visa Application:
1. Within 10 working days of your visa application, you will receive a reference number from the Turkish Consulate via email.
2. After receiving the reference number, apply for your work permit exemption certificate at emuafiyet.csgb.gov.tr/welcome. Once obtained, please print it out.
3. Your permission from the Ministry of Interior will be sent to the Turkish Consulate in London.
4. Once we receive your positive permission, you will need to bring your passport to our office for issuance (max 10 days).
5. At the end, you must have both your visa and work permit exemption certificate when crossing the border.
The Long Term Press Visa fee is GBP 582 (including Travel Insurance) for British citizens.
IMPORTANT: Per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Travel Insurance MUST be arranged through our office. Other travel insurances are not accepted.
