We would like to inform you that if you wish to produce documentary films related to scientific research and observation, or make commercial and promotional films within Turkey, you must obtain prior permission from the Turkish authorities before applying for a visa at our office. Once permission is granted, you will be issued the appropriate Filming Visa through Voya Visa.

In order to apply for a film visa, an approved copy of permission application form is a must. This document should cover all film crew’s full names. Visa cannot be issued to the person if name is not listed on the permission. Firstly please contact the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office in London (for commercial and promotional filming) for permission. They will be able to help you with their application process. It may take up to 4 weeks. Once you have been granted permission to film, please send it to our email address as we need to verify it with the Turkish Consulate.

Once the Turkish Consulate confirms your permission, we will begin processing your visa application at our office.

After obtaining the required permission, you will need to apply for a filming visa at our VOYAVISA office.

Please note:

• No appointment is needed for your visa application.
• You can visit our office anytime between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
• All applicants must apply in person as we need to take fingerprints.
• For group applications, please notify us in advance via email: workpermit@reservation.voyavisa.com. Specify the day and number of applicants who will attend.

Please bring both the original and a photocopy of all supporting documents, including:

• A passport valid for at least 6 months, or a Refugee Travel Document valid for at least 1 year. (If you are not a British citizen, you must bring your UK residence permit card and a photocopy and the settlement status reference printout which you can get from gov.uk website).
• One recent biometric photograph (no more than six months old).
• Filming permission from the Turkish Ministry of Culture.
• An approved copy of the permission application form, listing the full names of all crew members. Visa issuance is not possible for individuals whose names are not listed on the permission.
• A letter from the filming company detailing the work to be conducted in Turkey.
• Visa pre-application form, fully completed and signed by the applicant.
• Undertaking form, fully completed and signed by the applicant.
• Travel insurance, which must be arranged through our office as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

Visa Processing Time: The process takes a maximum of 2 weeks. Please note that we will keep your passport during the visa processing period.

Visa Fee: For British citizens, the fee for a short-term visa is £288, which includes travel insurance. Payment must be made by cash or bank transfer on the day of your application. There is no fast-track service available.

In order to apply for an archaeology visa the most important document is excavation permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Please make sure your name is in the excavation permit, otherwise you can’t apply for the visa. You must bring this permit and invitation letter with you when you attend your visa appointment.

Additionally, VOYA VISA application center can only take the applicants archaeology visa’s application, if the excavation permit list is sent by Turkish Consulate London to VOYA VISA. You must send an email to Voya Visa whether VOYA VISA has the permit list or not before you attend your visa appointment. Otherwise, we cannot take your application.

• One biometric photograph of the applicant (UK passport size, taken within the last 6 months).
• A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended “duration of stay” of the visa. Non-British applicants must also present a valid BRP with at least 6 months’ validity, or a printed proof of residence status from: https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status.
• An acceptance letter from the relevant authorities in Turkey (e.g., university, library, excavation site, etc.).
• A student or employer letter from the UK university.
• Travel insurance, which must be arranged through our office in accordance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
• Completed and signed application forms.

Visa Processing Time: The process takes a maximum of 2 weeks. Please note that we will keep your passport during the visa processing period.

Visa Fee: For British citizens, the fee for a short-term visa is £288, which includes travel insurance. Payment must be made by cash or bank transfer on the day of your application.

Applicants are required to bring all of the above-mentioned documents to their appointment. Failure to provide these documents will result in delays in processing the visa application.
