Transit Visa

REQUIRED MANDATORY DOCUMENTS FOR TRANSIT VISA
Note: As of 15 August 2023, all visa applicants to the TRNC must obtain a double transit visa for Turkiye before applying for TRNC Visa.
1. PASSPORT AND TRAVEL DOCUMENT
  • Your passport or travel document must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date you leave Türkiye.
  • If you have an ordinary passport, your BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) card must be valid for 6 months beyond the date you apply for a Türkiye visa.
  • Please ensure you bring your original BRP card, a photocopy, and a settlement status reference printout from the gov.uk website showing sufficient validity if you have an ordinary passport.
  • A copy of the ID page of your passport/travel document and BRP is required.
2. FORMS Please fill up the forms electronically (not with a pen) and sign the application form and then print them along with the Terms and Conditions and Entry Form documents.

When you come to the visa appointment, you must submit these documents along with your passport and other necessary documents.
3. TRANSIT DOCUMENTATION
  • You must hold a ticket to a destination outside of Turkiye.
  • You must obtain a visa of the destination country, if such visa is required to the destination country. (If TRNC is your destination country, you will not need to submit TRNC visa to apply Turkiye double transit visa. You must apply for TRNC visa after you obtain Turkiye double transit visa unless if you are exempt from a visa for TRNC).
  • If you are exempt from a visa to the destination country, then they will have to submit an official letter issued by the countries’ diplomatic representatives confirming that they do not need any visa.
4. PHOTOGRAPH & 5. PROOF OF INCOME 4. ONE RECENT PHOTOGRAPH: Taken within the last 6 months. It must be biometric, undamaged, clear, and have a white background.
5. PROOF OF INCOME:
  • If employed: Provide your most recent 2 months’ payslips.
  • If self-employed: Provide a letter from your accountant or solicitor, confirming your self-employed status and monthly or yearly income. Tax returns and P60 forms are not accepted.
  • If unemployed: Provide evidence of Universal Credit, student finance, pensions, or other allowances.
6. LAST 6 MONTHS’ BANK STATEMENTS The statement should display your full name, home address, date, and closing balance.
• For stays up to 10 days: The balance must show at least £400.
• For stays longer than 10 days: An additional £40 per day is required for each person.
If Sponsored by a Family Member:
  • Signed sponsorship letter (spouse, parent, child, or sibling only).
  • Evidence such as proof of address or marriage certificate.
  • Copy of the sponsor’s ID, last 6 months of bank statements, and last 2 months of income proof.
7. FLIGHT & 8. HOTEL RESERVATION 7. FLIGHT: Departure and return tickets. Travel dates must be at least 30 days after application (max 60 days before). Must allow for cancellation without penalty.

8. HOTEL: Must include applicant’s name and match flight dates. Must be cancellable without penalty.

If Staying with a Relative/Friend: Signed invitation letter, host’s ID copy, and utility bill/rent lease.
IMPORTANT: Travel insurance must be purchased through the Voya Visa office. Other travel insurances are not accepted, as per the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
